Due Tuesday, 10/21

  • BLOG POST #7, Establishing a Constructive Climate: Create a blog post titled something representative of your thoughts about this chapter and respond to the following questions (include each question before your answer).
    • Based on the scores you received on the Organizational Climate Questionnaire on page 190 of the text, what are your strengths and weaknesses regarding establishing a constructive climate for a group or organization?
      • What strategies for establishing a constructive climate for a group or organization discussed in the text could you employ to improve your skills?
    • An important aspect of establishing a constructive climate is giving recognition to others. Is rewarding or praising others something that comes easily for you as a leader? Discuss.
  • VoiceThread RolePlay: This activity will give you the opportunity to roleplay giving constructive feedback (reference steps from table 8.2) and receiving feedback on how you did (woo… confusing, but fun!). Log into CI Learn to access this week’s Voicethread, locate your assigned slide and role play your scenario.

Due Friday, 9/30

  • Participation in Blog Post: Respond to at least one of your classmate’s blog post (a link will to all blogs will be posted here). Participating through blog post discussion allows you to foster discussion, debate, and inspire new thinking. When reading your colleague’s post, be mindful. Do you agree or disagree with their assessment of the reading/perspectives? Why? Is there something your colleague missed that would help inform his/her post? Do you have questions that are unanswered after reading their post? Have we/you read another article that offers different insight into the topic? If so, how would that author feel about your classmate’s post?
  • Participation in VoiceThread Roleplay:  Provide feedback to your assigned classmate on how he/she did with providing constructive feedback based on the steps noted in table 8.2.

  • DUE FRIDAY, 10/24: Complete a draft section of your Mission Pillar reflection & list of evidence (Part II) and submit it to CI Learn.  Click here to learn more about the Mission Pillar Reflection assignment.
